John Nentwig joined Newman Long Term care in 2007 as a Long-Term Care Insurance Specialist. He possesses an impressive background in group benefit design as well as individual financial planning consultation. Throughout John's 18 years of experience in the Insurance and Financial Planning Industry he has delivered a customer first approach. He treats each client as the unique individual they are. John knows that there is no cookie cutter solution that is right for everyone. He actively listens to his clients to help assess their needs. It is only thereafter that he creates a customized package that is uniquely individualized for each person.
John recognizes that Long Term Care Insurance is an integral part of any clients total investment package. Growing up he was very close to his Grandparents and was lucky to see both of them live well into their 90's. They had planned well and were able to maintain in-home health aides and when the time came, they had private rooms in a nursing facility. Unfortunately, John saw many of their friends, who were not as fortunate, experience their later years in a much different fashion. He wishes everyone had the ability to access the kind of high quality and loving care that his grandparents received - that allowed them their highest level of independence and dignity. John believes that using LTCI is not a matter of "if" people will need it, but "when". We are living longer, more active lives today and utilizing the best health care is important for many people. Taking care of elderly loved ones often places a great strain on family members - especially when they are working and raising families of their own. Long Term Care Insurance ensures not only dignity and comfort for you - but it gives your family the peace of mind that good planning provides.
John graduated from the University of Minnesota, Duluth and has done advanced study in Employee Benefit Design at the University of Minnesota.
John is active in his church where he has held many volunteer positions including Finance Committee Chair. John lives with his wife and three young daughters in Maplewood, where he enjoys spending his "free" time volunteering with his daughter's Girl Scout troupes, chaperoning field trips and working with the Minnesota Autism Society.
